Japanese Militarism Justified

Source A
Source B

This evidence does not justify Japanese militarism. From source B, I can see that there are Japanese soldiers pulling out the nail of someone. This is one of the methods the Japanese use to torture people. However, the Japanese have no rights to torture people even though they wanted to expand their territories. The Japanese might have their reasons for conquering Southeast Asia, but they have no rights to torture people even though they wanted to expand their territories. The Japanese might have their reasons for conquering Southeast Asia, but they have scarred many people during their militarism. They have hurt those people both mentally and physically. By torturing our ancestors, all that they have suffered will be passed down to our generation. Till today, we still remember what has happened during WWII. They have caused an upheaval in the whole nation. There were more hatred between human and there was no peace. Because of their own country’s interest, they had to put let the other countries suffer. Due to their own selfishness, they made a lot go through a miserable time. Towards the end of 1940 Japan had been rapidly expanding and trying to conquer neighboring countries from Southeast Asia. The U.S. were demanding that Japan stop their expansion, and Japan were trying to get the restrictions on oil lifted whilst still being able to take more territory. Since neither of the two countries wanted to give in, there was very little progress in the negotiations. At the same time, Japan was plotting to either regain their oil supply by force, or to gain access to the necessary oil some other way. Hence, they begin their plans to take over countries which could give them oil supplies. Moreover, Japan’s population was growing rapidly. They wanted all the land to belong to them. They wanted to be stronger than other European countries. They felt that they were superior and felt that they had the rights to take over Asia to provide more resources for themselves. However, this does not give them the rights to take over lands. They should also try to settle their country’s dispute before probing into other countries. Hence, Japanese militarism was not justified.
